I can relate to this one. I work with a lot of people at the office who are roughly my age and I find myself telling and hearing the same stories over and over again. I would stop them from telling me but I don't always remember how the stories end.

Why is it that our memory is good enough to retain the least triviality that happens to us, and yet not good enough to recollect how often we have told it to the same person?
